It was an exciting day at Buttonwillow Raceway on Friday, September 26th. Sunny in the mid 80’s and the track was amazing. Speed District had another successful turn out with two special guests, The Smoking Tire’s and Drive TV host, Matt Farah and well known international car enthusiast, Tim Burton AKA “Shmee” from Shmee150.
Matt Farah took a red and black Fiero race car on the track or as he referred it as “this psycho death mobile”. The video footage of the Fiero burning tire at the Speed District event will be up on DriveTV. Also follow his Instagram TheSmokingTire to see what Matt is driving next!
It was also a pleasure having Tim “Shmee” all the way from the UK at Speed District to show his support and love for cars. Make sure to check out his Instagram Shmee150 and YouTube Channel. We’re happy to announce Shmee will be at our Friday October 17th Speed District event at Willow Springs Raceway.
We had many personal best records set and one of the fastest being @Csuperslow at 1:45.700. Thank you all for coming out, having fun and supporting. Don’t forget to register for Friday October 17th event. Speed District t-shirts and tanks are also now available for purchase. Come out and represent!
