Fifth Gear tries out the Lamborghini LP700-4 Aventador

Host Tiff Needell takes the Aventador up to close to its top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph)

Fifth Gear’s Tiff Needell has taken the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 for a test drive and here’s what he thinks of it.

Watch as Needell takes the car close to its top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph) – the kind of straight-away run the all-wheel drive Aventador was made for.

But that Haldex all-wheel drive system gets in the way of a more enjoyable track experience and that gearbox isn’t so much fun either, according to Needell.

The Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 comes with a 6.5 liter V12 with an output of 700 PS (690 bhp / 515 kW) and 690 Nm (509 lb-ft) of torque. Gearbox is a 7-speed independent shift rod transmission (with dual synchronizers) supplied by Graziano Trasmissioni Group with a shift time of 50 milliseconds.
